Wedding and Special Events
It would be an honor to bake for your wedding or special event. Batch Bakehouse specializes in non-traditional wedding desserts and featured pastries.
If you are planning a dessert buffet, select from our wide variety of miniature pastries. If you are having a sit-down dinner, consider our elegant 6-inch layer cakes as centerpieces – a different one at each table…talk about a conversation starter! If you are cutting your cake, order a large 10-inch round and add your own topper. Need individual treats for all of your out-of-town guests? We do that too!
How do you handle payment? Do I have to pay a deposit?
We are currently offering 2 different payment plans.
Option one (our preferred option): Pay in full. This payment is fully refundable up to 1 week in advance of your event. If canceled 48 hrs to 1 week before the wedding, 90% will be refunded. Within 48hrs full payment is forfeited.
Option two: Pay 10% to reserve your order and supply a card to be saved on file. This 10% will be fully refundable up to 1 week in advance. If order has not been canceled, 48 hrs prior to the event the card on file will be automatically charged the remaining 90%.
Is my date available?
Dates that are full for 2020: June 6, Mother’s Day, & Thanksgiving. Make sure to include your date in your tasting box order details – once your deposit is paid, your date is reserved.
Do you make fancy tiered wedding cakes?
No. We only make elegant layer cakes in 6 inch & 10 inch rounds.
Can I get a beautiful fondant cake from Batch?
No. We decorate our layer cakes exclusively with our house-made buttercreams and frostings. No wild colors or decorations, just delicious mouth-watering cake & frosting.
Do you deliver?
YES. We deliver to the greater Madison area and beyond for a fee based on distance. We do require a delivery window and a point person at the venue.
Do you do individual pastries for gifts?
YES. We have a selection of items we can package individually or in gift sets: mini brunch boxes, mini boxed pies, frosted cookies, cookie assortments, mini croissants. These items are packaged in our standard bakery packaging at a nominal upcharge. If you require specialty packaging, pricing will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
We offer individual packaging for many of our products. This service may be requested and subject to an upcharge based on amount/type of product being ordered.
Can I order a seasonal specialty pie fruit flavor?
YES. With enough advance notice, we can source special fruits for pies. The most common request is strawberry rhubarb. We can’t get you fresh rhubarb for a fall event, but we can make sure to have some for a late spring or summer event.
Can I order a custom shape decorated sugar cookie?
Maybe. This is a tough one. We want to say yes, but not all sugar cookies are created equal. A lot of intricate shapes break. We don’t like broken cookies, neither do you. If you have a shape you’d like we can talk… and come up with a solution. So, a solid “we’ll try” maybe.
I see pictures with flowers, can I get that on my cake through you?
No. Those pics are from previous weddings. Those clients worked with their florists and friends to make those beautiful cake toppers. We can recommend Daffodil Parker here in Madison for flower sprays.
Do you do set-up?
No. We deliver your order to your venue in standard bakery boxes. You will need to arrange for a set-up person and/or cold storage depending upon the items ordered.
Can I schedule a tasting consultation?
Yes, we charge $75 for a hour-long tasting consultation. You can request a consultation by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you don’t need an in-person consultation, you can order a tasting box, pick it up and taste at your leisure.
Do you rent cake stands and plates?
No. We can barely keep track of the ones we need! We’d be happy to share our how-to on making your own!
Will you make an off-menu item?
Any off-menu items may be ordered at the discretion of the bakers and subject to an upcharge. Talk to us and we’ll see what we can do!
